AUSTRALIA’S FIRST PLASTIC BAG FREE TOWN
The delightful resort and fishing township of Coles Bay, at the northern edge of the Freycinet National Park, is dominated by jagged pink granite peaks, with dramatic cliffs dropping sheer into the sea.
The white beaches, crystal clear water, boating, fishing, swimming and bushwalking attract visitors to the area in their thousands, particularly at the height of summer.
Accommodation is varied and includes self-contained villa units, cabins, caravan parks and a pub. There are two supermarkets and a number of café’s and restaurants.
