A picturesque village on the Channel Highway. Kettering is a safe haven for the local fishing fleet and pleasure craft. The Bruny Island vehicular ferry terminal and Bruny D’Entrecasteaux Visitor Information Centre are located here. Phone (03) 6267 4494, 7 days a week.

Up to nine crossings are provided daily, the frequency being increased during holiday periods. The ferry carries up to 70 cars.

Kettering has the largest Marina area outside of Hobart and is gateway to the magnificent cruising waters of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Boat and canoe hire is available.

South of Kettering is Trial Bay which has excellent boat launching facilities.
