Located on the south coast of Flinders Island, Lady Barron is the Island’s principal tourist centre and main fishing port situated on Franklin Sound. This expanse of protected water separates Flinders Island from the second largest island in the group, Cape Barren. Situated between these two major islands are the numerous smaller islands that are home to the remarkable mutton birds that migrate from Alaska each year.

Sunset cruises are conducted from the Lady Barron jetty each evening between November and May to view the spectacular return of millions of mutton birds to their rookery at dusk.

Lady Barron offers excellent beaches for all kinds of water sports from scuba diving, sailing, surf and game fishing. Charter boats are available all year round.
