There is a beach and camping area at Green Point and picnic areas at Bluff Point and West Point Lighthouse.
Good surfing is available and the National Wave Ski Championships are staged each February. The West Coast Surf Carnival is held annually on the March long weekend.
Mt Cameron West has achieved prominence due to the discovery of important aboriginal carvings of circles, dots, lattices and bird tracks. These show a remarkable similarity to carvings discovered in the desert of Central Australia.
It is possible to drive south from Marrawah and turn inland, near Rebecca Creek, on the forestry roads to return to Smithton via Edith Creek.
