Visitors to the hydro-electric schemes may take a round trip from Ouse via Wayatinah, Liapootah, Tarraleah and Tungatinah, then to Bronte Lagoon and return through Dee and Osterley.
There is one hotel at Ouse and a 9-hole golf course half a kilometre from the town. There is also a bowling green.
