Ringarooma
View Location Map
Ringarooma’s rural development dates back to the late 1860s. Farming and timber milling remain the economic backbone of the town.
Ringarooma and surrounding towns have considerable charm when viewed from the top of Mathinna Hill. Another road through the Mt Victoria Forest Reserves gives access to the magnificent Ralphs Falls and wilderness areas that will delight the mountaineer and bushwalker.
Pleasant drives on New River Road and Alberton Road are well worth doing; whilst the old road between Ringarooma and Branxholm called Ruby Flat Road passes through the pioneer mining areas.
The old Ringarooma Church in the main street is open daily and houses a local history display and visitor information.
